After searching through some of the links in the last post, you may be wondering, "What is there so much weird stuff?"

And it is part of the way this new social media stuff works. Anyone can run a server, like blombus, for their own community. And each community, can decide who they interact with, which servers that want to block, what the privacy settings are by default, etc.

So the fediverse is very diverse!

Finding new people and accounts to follow amounts to exploring new places that are also a part of the "fediverse" and clicking the "Follow" button. It will then ask which account to follow from, and you'll put in your blombus account, and then you will start seeing their new content!

The Fediverse is like the way in email we can send messages to people with accounts at gmail and yahoo from our hotmail account, but with social media. So us on blombus can exchange messages and follow people on other servers, and they can interact with us!
